  • - (AEST)
  • Avondale Heights Library
69 Military Road, Avondale Heights, Avondale Heights, VIC 3034, Australia

Think you can save an egg from a giant fall? Put your brainpower, creativity, and engineering skills to the test in our egg-citing National Science Week Egg Drop Challenge at Avondale Heights Library.

Using everyday materials, you’ll design and build a contraption to protect a raw egg when it’s dropped from up high. Will your egg survive the drop… or crack under pressure?

Experiment with parachutes, padding, shock absorbers, crazy inventions, and clever designs as you learn about gravity, force, motion, and impact — all while having heaps of fun.

What to expect:

  • Build your own egg-protecting invention
  • Test your design in the big drop
  • Learn cool science through a hands-on challenge
  • See whose egg survives the ultimate fall!

Perfect for curious minds, future inventors, and anyone who loves a fun challenge.

Will your egg crack… or conquer?

This event is free, but bookings are essential. It is best-suited for 6 - 12 year olds.
