Session 1
9.30am to 11am, Melbourne time (with a 10-minute coffee break)
- Rationale (Why it’s worth writing excellent and easy-to-read reports for non-technical readers)
- On paper (How savvy project managers should document discussions)
- Value system (Key criteria for communicating technical and other research; includes the art of producing compelling figures, tables, static and interactive graphics, illustrations, photographs and videos)
- Feedback corner (Questions and answers relating to material covered)
Session 2
2pm to 4.30pm Melbourne time (with a 10-minute coffee break)
- Vetting (How to check and cross-check facts)
- Writing technical documents (Strategies for translating complex material into easily comprehensible forms; includes what to do before and during writing a report; the art of creating structure and crafting leads that capture attention without losing accuracy)
- Client strategies (Tips and tricks for conducting productive discussions with clients, with voice and gesture coaching; includes role-play exercises and the recording and review of simulated interviews)
