At Ainslie Parklands Primary School, we have the most out of this world Science Week Ever!
We are hosting a special stargazing evening with Mornington Peninsula Astronomical Society (MPAS) to view the moon and the night skies on 20th August at 6.30pm. We have opened the evening for our school community and local kindergartens to attend.
We will have a night sky scavenger hunt and a range of glow in the dark art works on display for our visitors to observe.
In addition, each day throughout the week we are hosting a member of the community with a different science-based role. This includes a Wildlife rescuer, a clinical psychologist who uses nature to help with co-regulating emotions, a geologist who studies minerals and fossils, a sports scientist who uses movement to help heal people, and a scientific researcher who works in immunology.
We will culminate the week by featuring a student viewing of National Science Week's Scinema feature.
It's going to be an amazing week, filled with everything Science!
