Get ready for a week of curiosity, creativity and discovery!
During National Science Week 2026, our school will transform into a hub of scientific exploration as students from Kindergarten to Year 6 take part in a range of exciting science activities designed to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers and innovators.
The highlight of the week will be our Science Fair for students in Years 3–6. Students will investigate a question or problem of their choice and present their findings through experiments, models, displays or demonstrations. Projects will be judged across year levels, with awards presented to outstanding entries that demonstrate creativity, scientific thinking and problem-solving skills.
Students from every year level will also have the opportunity to participate in a Science Week Colouring Competition, with a winner selected from each year group. This provides a fun and inclusive way for all students to engage with the celebration of science.
Throughout the week, the whole school will take part in hands-on afternoon science activities. Students will explore exciting STEM challenges, engineering tasks, scientific investigations, science games and interactive experiments. These activities will encourage teamwork, critical thinking and creativity while showing students that science is everywhere in our everyday lives.
Our Science Week event aims to make science accessible, engaging and enjoyable for all students. By providing opportunities for students to investigate, create, question and discover, we hope to build confidence in science and encourage a lifelong love of learning. Whether students are designing a science fair project, solving a STEM challenge or simply exploring something new, there will be opportunities for everyone to experience the wonder of science.
Join us as we celebrate National Science Week 2026 and discover that science is not just something we learn – it's something we do!
