Wild encounters – Better understanding human-wildlife coexistence

Wild Encounters: Can people and animals really get along?

Have you ever wondered why people and wild animals sometimes clash? Like when elephants eat crops or when animals wander too close to towns? A lot of the time, we think the answer is to keep animals and people far apart – to protect both sides.

But what if there’s another way? What if people and animals can live together peacefully, like they have in some places for hundreds of years?

In this exciting talk, we’ll hear from Dr Helina Jolly, a conservation expert from the University of Vermont, USA, who will share how listening to Indigenous and traditional knowledge can help us learn better ways to share the planet with wildlife — fairly and kindly.

Come along to this webinar and find out how we can care for animals and nature!
