Time to Act-ivation

  • - (AEST)

Teachers and students— If you’re passionate about climate change education and climate justice, this is for you!

Join a Time to Act-ivation—an exciting, hands-on experience where science, creativity, and activism come together! This is your chance to be part of a growing movement of people taking real action for a better future.

We’re inviting teachers to take part in a two-hour online Time to Act workshop, where you’ll learn how to bring climate change education to life using storytelling, role-play, and critical thinking.

Meet early career climate science and ecology researchers, whose cutting-edge research is helping to create preferred futures. You'll work in community with these researchers and your colleagues to develop innovative, science-based ideas for addressing contemporary and future challenges. You’ll leave with creative strategies to help students explore climate issues, build confidence, and take action in their communities.

Then, it’s time for action! Teachers will guide a group of students in planning and leading a Time to Act-ivation—a powerful lunchtime event on Wednesday, August 11th, where students will creatively share the Time to Act message with their school community.

Schools are encouraged to capture their enactments through photos or videos, contributing to a statewide video that will amplify the message even further.

This is your chance to be part of an exciting and necessary movement. Let’s make an impact—together!

Sign up now and help spread the message—it's time to act!
