Location Information

The Spanish Club, Hogar Español, is an institution established in 1969 in Johnston St, Fitzroy. It quickly became the heart of the Spanish Community in Melbourne. Hogar Español translates to Spanish Home, and as the name suggests, the Spanish Club’s initial aim was to provide a home away from home for the many Spanish immigrants who settled in Melbourne in the late fifties and early sixties. Although this is still a strong focus of the Club, we now also invite the General Public to join and partake in events, excursions, fiestas or a simple night of tapas and wine by becoming social club members.
