Science in Your Hands - The pharmacy lab experience

  • - (AEST)
  • Dutton Park Campus, University of Queensland
20 Cornwall Street, Woolloongabba QLD 4102, Australia

Join us at the University of Queensland for an exciting National Science Week event where you’ll step into the shoes of a real pharmacist! This fun, hands-on science day is perfect for curious minds of all ages.

Try your hand at making tablets, creating juice-flavoured “medicine bubbles,” and testing how tablets float or sink in water – just like they do in your body! You’ll even get to touch and explore 3D-printed models of medicines and see how scientists use special tools to design better drugs.

Take part in lab experiments that show how medicines are made and delivered and meet real scientists who are helping create the medicines of the future. Hear from experts working on brain medicines, skin patches, 3D-printed pills, and more during our live Q&A panel.

Don't miss our Pharmacy Quiz Challenge – test your knowledge and win cool prizes!

Whether you're a student, teacher, or just love science – this event is for you.

Come get hands-on with science and discover how the medicines we take every day are made. It’s science you can touch – and taste!
