Get ready for an explosive week of science, curiosity, and hands-on fun!
For the very first time, Gledswood Hills High School is launching National Science Week in 2025 — and it’s all about getting stuck into real science, with your hands, your brain, and your curiosity. Every Year 7 student will dive into four exciting science stations:
Each activity is linked to what we’re learning in science this year and helps you become a better scientist – asking questions, testing ideas, and solving real problems.
The fun doesn’t stop there! We’re teaming up with our partner primary schools (Gregory Hills Public School and Gledswood Hills Public School) to share the science magic with Stage 3 students. Year 7 students will run the activities for Stage 3 students, becoming science leaders for the day.
Our program links to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and ties in with our Term 3 integrated STEM curriculum. It’s a chance to learn about the world, try new things, and make a real difference – all with simple materials, clever thinking, and loads of curiosity.
Grab your lab coat (or just your imagination) – it’s time for Science in Action: Powered by Curiosity at Gledswood Hills High School!
