The afternoon discover session invites students to actively engage in the discovery process, and highlights the community involvement aspect with the inclusive language of "decode" and "discover." It also gives a sense of adventure, encouraging students and families to dive into the world of STEM together. This discovery session would run for an afternoon in the school hall involving Gilston State school, Nerang State High school and local primary schools and the community. The engaging activities will be designed and delivered by Nerang High STEM ambassadors and STEM excellence students from Gilston State School. 

Activities will be hands-on, emphasising the real-world applications of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The activities will be designed to spark curiosity and encourage critical thinking, fostering a deeper understanding of STEM concepts.
