Exploring Nature’s Hidden Language through LEGO

Within this project students will have the opportunity to use Lego to help explore the hidden patterns and structures that shape our universe.

Students will use LEGO to model natural phenomena such as the Fibonacci sequence, fractals, DNA structures, crystal formations, and planetary patterns, this building project will take place during their STEAM lessons in Science Week.
At the end of the week students work will be displayed for a community event along with the photo competition we will be running during Science Week.

The Lego experience will give students a chance to explore big STEM ideas in a way that feels fun, hands-on, and meaningful. By building patterns, they see in nature; like spirals, symmetry, and sequences, students will be able to see how maths and science help us understand the world around us.

What makes this experience exciting is that it goes beyond what’s normally covered in the curriculum. I am already excited to see the student’s creativity come to life and see what they will create.
