We're inviting primary schools to dive into a dynamic, hands-on STEM experience that blends science, sustainability, space exploration, and culinary creativity!

What’s in store for your budding astronauts? Over two action-packed hours, participants will become part of the Plants for Space team and embark on a creative ‘Grow for Launch’ mission.

  1. Growing astronaut food crops!
  2. Creating plant-based medicines!
  3. Designing zero-waste food crops for space!

After that, it’s time to get hands-on! Select from one of these exciting options tailored for your class group:

  1. Growing Space Food with Music: Join us for a fun-filled workshop that merges food, music, and science! Use real fruit to make awesome sounds while discovering how technology allows us to grow plants in space without soil
  2. Imagining Future Plants through DNA: Unleash your inner scientist in this eye-opening workshop! Get up close with real plant DNA as you extract and visualise the building blocks of life using microscopes and pipettes.
  3. STEM Kit Experiment: Start the adventure and take it back to your classroom! Become a Space Farmer by sowing Astro plant seeds in hydroponic units! Investigate the best conditions for sustainable growth, track your plants' progress, and get crafty by decorating your group's bottle.
