Exploring the Future of Agriculture Together

  • - (AEST)
  • Australian National University
Sullivans Creek Road, Barbecue area near Club Lime, Acton ACT 2601, Australia

Join us for a fun and inspiring event at the Australian National University, where science meets nature! Our event invites everyone — including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, students, families, and the Canberra community — to discover how we can grow better food and care for the land using both traditional knowledge and modern science.

You’ll start by an exciting walk along the creek, where you’ll look for bush foods and learn how First Nations people have looked after Country for thousands of years. You’ll also meet scientists who will show you what they do and how their work helps farmers and the environment.

We’ll even enjoy a taste of culture with a small Aboriginal-inspired catering experience.

Together, we’ll explore big questions like:

  • How can we grow food in ways that are good for the planet?
  • What can we learn from traditional land care practices?
  • What might farming look like in the future?

This is your chance to see science in action, meet cool people, and maybe even imagine yourself as a future farming hero!
