Are you a Deaf or hard-of-hearing person aged 12 to 17 years? Register now for the 2025 Deaf Youth Science Camp in ANSTO in Sydney.

  • Launch your own rocket, build an electric circuit, and design and 3D print your own creation!
  • See Australia’s only nuclear reactor on a tour. Find out how they make medicines to find and treat cancer.
  • Talk to Deaf STEM professionals and learn about their career journeys and experiences.
  • Meet other young Deaf and hard-of-hearing people and build new friendships and connections.

Led by Deaf educators, this camp is delivered in Auslan. Interpreters will be available, so don’t worry if you’re not a confident signer. You don’t need to be a science whiz, just keen to learn and try some new activities!

Join us for three action-packed days. You’ll stay with other young people on the camp at our on-site accommodation and all meals are provided.

Parents and Deaf community members are invited to join us on the Saturday 9 August to join a science tour, watch our panel of STEM professionals, and enjoy light refreshments.
