Where Deaf Teens and Science Meet!
Head to our ECU Joondalup campus for two days of science, technology, engineering, and maths, for Deaf and Hard of Hearing teenagers aged 14-18. Auslan interpreters will be provided for the event.
This is a non-residential day camp, held 9:30am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday. Thanks to grants from Inspiring Australia and National Science Week, this event is free for all Deaf and Hard of Hearing teenagers to attend, although places are limited.
Deaf STEM Camp will feature interactive workshops including Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths components. We're still working on a timetable, so please let us know your favourite kinds of STEM so we can try to cater to all of your interests.
There will be a graduation ceremony on Sunday 10th August from 3pm to celebrate our teenagers' completion of the STEM weekend; family and friends will be welcome to attend to celebrate with us and enjoy an afternoon tea.
All parking information will be made available to participants who book online.
