As part of National Science Week, BSPS is hosting a school-wide Cake Competition where students and families are invited to create edible masterpieces inspired by the 2025 theme: Decoding the Universe.

Participants will bake and decorate cakes, biscuits, or slices that creatively represent concepts from astronomy, physics, biology, or technology—from galaxies and DNA to data and black holes. Each entry will include a brief explanation of its scientific inspiration.

Cakes will be displayed in the school STEM room and judged by a panel, with awards given to standout entries in each year level. After the awards ceremony, students will enjoy a tasting celebration and a slideshow of all entries will be shared with families.

This fun and imaginative event celebrates science through art, food, and community.
