Graffiti the Galaxy is where science meets street art! In this fun and creative workshop, attendees will get to spray-paint your own space-themed artwork – think colourful planets, glowing stars, and swirling nebulae. While you're making your masterpiece, you'll also learn some cool facts about space and basic astronomy.
Attendees will work with a real street artist who will show you how to safely use spray-paint and stencils to create awesome effects, and a youth facilitator who will explain what's really out there in our galaxy.
This is not your average science class – it's hands-on, messy, creative, and fun! They will be learning without even realising it, as they explore how science and art can come together in amazing ways.
Graffiti the Galaxy is a special Science Week workshop just for members of the Selby Youth Group.
This event is not open to the public – it’s a celebration for our Youth Group crew (ages 10–14) and part of our mission to make science fun, exciting, and something everyone can enjoy.
