This year for National Science Week, we will be running an engaging week-long event called Cosmic Quest: Unlocking the Mysteries of the Universe. During this event, our Year 7-9 students will present an interactive science show exploring the wonders of the cosmos. They will demonstrate concepts such as astronomy, light spectra, gravity, and programming space rovers through engaging and hands-on presentations.

Each lunchtime, students can take part in practical activities, including creating constellation viewers, building their own spectroscopes, experimenting with gravity wells, and programming mini robots to navigate like space rovers. There will also be science competitions throughout the week to showcase students’ creativity and scientific understanding.

These activities aim to spark curiosity about the universe, deepen students’ understanding of space science, and inspire them to continue exploring STEM pathways in the future.
