Explore the impact craters at Henbury Meteorite Conservation Reserve with scientists during National Science Week 2025 in Mparntwe (Alice Springs), organised by the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT) in association with Parks NT.
Spend the day with Dr Adam Yates, Senior Curator of Earth Sciences at MAGNT, and Dr Sara Webb, award-winning astrophysicist and science communicator, for a tour of the unique Henbury Meteorite craters. Be guided through the site and learn more about meteorites and the formation of these spectacular craters.
Bring a hat, sunscreen, water bottle, comfortable closed shoes and your lunch.
Open to people aged 6 and over. Attendees aged between 6-16 must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder.
Meet at the Museum of Central Australia (4 Memorial Avenue) at 10am for a strict 10:30am departure. The site is approximately 150km from Alice Springs; the bus trip is expected to take one and a half hours each way.
