Worms for Waste: Community Science in Action is a sustainability initiative establishing a community worm farm at Dandenong Community Garden to maintain the garden’s fertility for all the vegetables, fruit and herbs. Worm farms work as a great way for gardeners to reduce the amount of organic waste and improve the garden’s soil health to improve food production. If you want to see how it works, come along and join us for our event on Thursday 14th of August at 12:00pm for a barbeque and Worm Farm Demonstration!
