To celebrate Science Week, every classroom from Prep to Year 6 will become a fun and exciting science space! Each class will explore a different science topic from the school curriculum through hands-on activities. Students will work on cool projects like posters, models, experiments and demonstrations to share what they’ve learned.
During the event, students, parents, grandparents, and visitors from our local community will walk through the classrooms to join in and learn together. We’ll be inviting our SGM families, grandparents, local councillor, and nearby kindergartens to come along and enjoy the day.
There will also be peer-voted awards for the most fun and interesting activity that shows a great understanding of science and excellent presentation skills!
Thanks to the ASTA Grant, we’ll be able to buy the materials we need for our experiments and building projects.
Our goal is to help students love science, think like scientists, and get excited about how things work. We hope this event will inspire future inventors, engineers and scientists right here at our school!
