The output-oriented course will teach the essential skills and strategies needed to prepare and distribute a cracking media release for a wide range of audiences.
Among other things, the course will help budding science communicators with the confidence and media savvy required to project messages clearly and simply.
Hands-on training will be provided in preparing winning media releases for many outlets, including in-house, local and international publications and the digital media.
Participants completing the course will acquire valuable skills, including those needed to liaise with journalists and prepare successful pitches.
Worked examples, reference materials, background notes and a certificate will be provided.

This full-day workshop, also available online via Zoom, will be held in the Monegeetta Room at the Romsey Community Hub, 96 Main Street, Romsey, Victoria 3434.
The first session runs from 9.30am to midday and the second from 1pm to 5pm, Melbourne time.
