As part of our commitment to community engagement and STEM education, our students have been visiting local kindergartens to share their science knowledge, understandings, and enthusiasm for learning. These visits have provided valuable opportunities for our students to develop leadership, communication, and mentoring skills, while inspiring younger children to explore the wonders of science through fun, age-appropriate activities.

To celebrate Science Week, we are excited to welcome the kindergarten students to St Monica’s for a special day of hands-on science workshops. These workshops, designed and facilitated by our students and teachers, will showcase that science is everywhere all around us.

The workshops are designed to be interactive and engaging, encouraging curiosity and a sense of discovery. Through simple experiments and real-world examples, students will learn Science is part of our everyday lives, from the kitchen to the garden, the playground to the sky above.

This collaboration reflects our school’s dedication to fostering a love of learning and passion for science education. It also showcases how student-led learning can make a positive impact beyond the classroom.
