Australia has played a bigger role in space race than you would have imagined!
From the 1950s through to the 1970s, Australia was gripped with excitement as humanity made its first forays beyond Earth's atmosphere. The excitement saw Mr. Squiggle- 'the man from the moon' grace our screens and futuristic architecture and designs hit the world stage with Australia's Expo pavilion in 1970 at the World Fair, and here in SA the Woomera Rocket Range supported space exploration, and will continue to do so in the future.
