A Tradition of Excellence
For over a decade, the Jingili Science Expo has been a cornerstone in nurturing a strong scientific culture at Jingili Primary School. In 2025, we proudly present two major events: the Jingili Science Expo on 31st July and the Science Fair Extravaganza on 11th August. Both events reflect our commitment to fostering a love of science through engaging, hands-on learning experiences that inspire curiosity and link science to everyday life.
Jingili
Science Expo
This annual event
brings real-life scientists into our school to work directly with students from
Preschool to Year 6. Designed to ignite interest and provoke deep thinking, the
Expo features a range of interactive investigations that encourage the use of
scientific inquiry. Students will explore, predict, problem-solve, and uncover
the science behind everyday phenomena—deepening their understanding of how
science shapes the world around them.
Science
Fair Extravaganza
Coinciding with
National Science Week, the Science Fair turns students into science leaders.
They present and explain their own investigations to peers, younger students,
and families in a vibrant, interactive setting. The outdoor learning area will
be transformed into a bustling hub of discovery, with student-led
demonstrations in Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space, and Physics.
Both events highlight our school's dedication to STEM/STEAM education, blending science with technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics. They nurture critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration—equipping our students with skills for the future and inspiring a lifelong passion for science.
