For 12 years, the Jingili Science Expo has been central to building a vibrant scientific community at Jingili Primary School. In 2025, we proudly present two outstanding events: the Jingili Science Expo on July 31 and the Science Fair Extravaganza on August 11. Both events reflect our commitment to inspiring a love of science through immersive, hands-on learning that fuels curiosity, encourages exploration, and connects science to everyday life.

Jingili Science Expo

This eagerly awaited annual event brings local scientists face-to-face with students from preschool to Year 6. Its goal is to ignite interest and critical thinking through engaging investigations. Students experience a variety of scientific concepts and activities centered on the scientific inquiry process. This approach helps develop problem-solving skills, prediction abilities, and an understanding of the science behind daily phenomena. Beyond sparking curiosity, the Expo deepens students’ appreciation of science’s impact on the world around them.

Science Fair Extravaganza

Held during National Science Week, this event transforms our outdoor learning area into a lively science fair where students become the experts. They present their own investigations and lead interactive stations, acting as ‘scientists in action’ across Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space, and Physics. This platform empowers students to demonstrate their knowledge to younger peers and the wider school community.

Together, these events showcase Jingili Primary’s dedication to a STEM/STEAM education, encouraging students to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics in an integrated, engaging way. The experiences nurture creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, and a lifelong passion for discovery.
