Future Frontiers Game Jam

Get ready to imagine the future, by making your own video game!

The Future Frontiers Game Jam is a fun, Territory-wide challenge where anyone aged 10 and up can create a game based on science, sustainability, and the future of our planet. It’s like a giant creative competition where you get to dream up cool ideas about solar power, space travel, climate change, robots, and more, then turn those ideas into a real, playable game!

You don’t need to be a pro. You can join as a beginner, team up with friends, or go solo. There are meet-ups (in person and online), mentoring sessions, and loads of support along the way.

Plus, some awesome prizes are up for grabs!

The Game Jam kicks off on Thursday 10 July and runs for 28 days. You’ll learn how to plan, design, and build your game, and submit it online by Thursday 7 August. During National Science Week (9–17 August), your game could be showcased to the public, and voted on by players across the Territory!

This year’s theme is “Future Frontiers”, and every game must include those words somewhere inside. What does the future look like to you? Clean solar cities? AI-powered helpers? A new life on Mars?

Proudly presented by The Array, and supported by SunCable, Inspired NT, Screen Australia and the Australian Computer Society, this is your chance to share your ideas with the world, learn something new, and maybe even win a prize.

If you’ve got an idea, and a love for games, this is your moment!
