Our proposed project is to create a vibrant and interactive sensory garden that will serve as a welcoming space for our playgroup, OSHC (Outside School Hours Care) program, and school students. This space will be designed to engage all the senses—sight, touch, sound, and smell—through a mix of textured plants, edible herbs, fragrant flowers, and natural materials.

The garden will feature a veggie patch where children can learn to grow seasonal produce, as well as playful, hands-on elements like small digging tools, water wheels, and sensory paths. These elements will encourage curiosity, creativity, and connection to nature, particularly for younger children in the early years and those with diverse learning needs.

This space will not only support wellbeing and imaginative play but also provide rich opportunities for learning about sustainability, plant life cycles, healthy eating, and teamwork through gardening.
