Join us as National Science Week takes over Storytime!

From 11-15 August, ACT Library's Storytime sessions will be taken over by local scientists! They will be reading captivating science stories, providing an exciting and engaging demonstration of their science topic and following that with a hands-on science craft. Each day will feature a different topic of science across ACT Libraries Storytime sessions with a new fantastic local scientist every day.

Thursday's session will be focused on space and astronomy! Featuring the amazing Dr Brad Tucker from Mt Stromlo Observatory who will be reading an exciting space themed book, and completing an exciting demonstration with a cool galaxy craft to accompany.

Monday 11 August – 10.15am at Tuggeranong Library - join Louise Soroka from Geoscience Australia to discover the wonders of geology and Earth sciences.
 
Tuesday 12 August – 10.15am at Kippax Library - join Aaron Chatfield from Dreamtime Connections to explore First Nations science and bush tucker.
 
Wednesday 13 August – 10.15am at Woden Library - join chemist and science communicator Broderick Matthews to get hands-on with a colourful chemistry experiment.
 
Thursday 14 August – 10.15am at Erindale Library - join Dr Brad Tucker from Mount Stromlo Observatory to go on a journey into space and get creative with the emu in the sky.
 
Friday 15 August – 10.15am at Gungahlin Library - join entomologist Josh Coates from Invertebrates Australia for an exciting exploration of entomology and get up close and personal with some real-life insects.
