Buzz into science and a sweet day of discovery.

Bees are not just cute and fuzzy – they’re super important to life on Earth! At this event, you'll become a bee expert and have loads of fun with your friends and family. You’ll go home with sweet memories… and maybe even a pot of honey!

Here’s a sneak peek at the exciting things we’ll be doing:

  • Meet a Beekeeper: See real beekeeping gear and ask all your buzzy questions! Learn how honey is made and what bees do in their hive.
  • Honey Tasting Station: Ever tried orange blossom or eucalyptus honey? Taste different types and learn how flowers change the flavour!
  • Pollination Challenge: Try our fun flower and bee game to learn how pollination works – and why it matters so much for our food.
  • Build a Bee Hotel: Use wood and natural materials to create a cosy home for native bees to take back to your garden!
  • Craft Corner: Make beeswax candles, paint bee rocks, or decorate your own bee mask to take home.
  • Bee Science Station: Try mini-experiments like making "pollen dust", exploring how bees communicate with dance, and checking out real honeycomb.
