Celebrating stories of wine science through original music.

The Australian Wine Research Institute and Max Savage bring their acclaimed science-meets-music show back for another night of original entertainment for National Science Week, supported by Inspiring SA. Seven decades of wine research come alive through songs, stories and some truly terrible jokes – plus wine tasting.

No wine or science knowledge is required. AWRI's scientific papers are transformed into music spanning spoilage-yeast mambos to volatile sesquiterpene rockabilly and indie-grunge odes to tractor automation. Meet the scientists over a glass of wine if you're lucky.

Max Savage's genre-defying blend of absurdist folklore and rock swagger has made him an Adelaide cultural icon. Across fifteen years, he's mastered everything from elegiac ballads to experimental jazz, bringing front-bar energy to every performance.

The AWRI has been perfecting Australian wine since 1955 – from better irrigation to solving wine faults - this is one experiment you don't want to miss. Gather your friends for music, science and great wine.

Meals will be available from the Unibar kitchen until 8 pm. c07c08_b781c9cdab9245b9938023e1e50df23b.pdf
