Stephen Slater is an internationally renowned film and television documentary producer with dozens of titles to his name, visiting from the UK and touring Australasia.  He has special access to the national space archives of NASA.

His credits include Apollo 11, the highest grossing documentary worldwide for 2019.

It has been 55 years since humans first went around the Moon on Apollo 8. Next year, NASA will do it again on Artemis 2. Join Stephen Slater with this exclusive look into Apollo 8 and one of human’s riskiest journeys. Using never-before-seen archival film clips, Stephen will take us on an out-of-this world multimedia experience.  You will also have the opportunity to meet him, ask questions and get autographs if desired.

Driving directions: The observatory is sign-posted inside a State Park in regional Victoria and is entered on the east side of Nepean Highway. Drive carefully through the park, with the possibility of wildlife on the road after dark. You will travel about 1.5 km along a sealed road, over a cattle grid, past a visitors’ centre on your left and vineyard on your right, up the hill then straight ahead through an open gate. The observatory is 100 m further along on the left.
