During Perth Zoo's teacher professional learning workshop, teachers have the opportunity to increase their knowledge, participate in hands on activities and explore ways to get their students involved in National Science Week. We are delivering the workshop early so you have time to prepare your class for activities during Science Week. 

Targeted at Kindy to Year 10 teachers, this workshop will focus on conservation actions at Perth Zoo for species survival and how understanding animal needs can help you protect native wildlife. Throughout the session, you will participate in:

• Presentations and behind the scenes tours from some Perth Zoo staff who work on conservation action projects
• Increase your understanding on conducting native habitat and wildlife surveys in your school community
• Gain skills on collecting and analysing measurable data with your students
• Special access to resources to assist in your lessons during National Science Week
