Join a week-long, fun-filled event with dedicated science activities organized and conducted by Year 7-9 students for our junior school students (Foundation to Grade 6). Here's an overview of the activities planned:
- Year 7 and 8 students will host a family night where families from our junior school will participate in hands-on projects. Various stalls and stations will be set up in and around the Science classrooms for the local community and junior school students to engage in different STEM-based activities.
- Year 8 students will conduct workshops featuring take-home STEM projects and tutorials on using our 'Sumo robots' for junior students.
- Year 7 students will collaborate in small groups to develop interactive experimental ideas and communicate them to the visiting community through posters, working models, and experiments.
Year 9 Science students will design and create a giant fossil dig in our junior school playground, aligning with this year’s Science week theme of Species Survival. A selected group of Year 9 students will deliver an interactive demonstration for junior school audiences, while another group will create videos of simple 'at-home' experiments shared daily on our Facebook page
