We have some fantastic paper plane engineers at Katoomba Public School. KPS families are invited to join us for a hands-on Expo exploring flight and space. Students from Kindy to Year 6 will participate in stage-appropriate rotational experiments that explore forces relevant to flight, including gravity, friction and air resistance.

Children will have the opportunity to create and explore flying machines such as parachutes, rockets, paper planes, kites, helicopters, bird wings, flying foxes, hovercraft, etc. ... a hands on exploration of flying machines from design to construction.

Parents and caregivers are invited to join us for a picnic, and the children will teach their families what they learnt at the Expo, e.g. making paper planes, peg planes, kites, etc.

After lunch, we will hold a whole-school paper plane flying competition, and invite our families to stay, watch and participate.
