The Ballarat Municipal Observatory & Museum is situated at Mount Pleasant in Ballarat. The observatory is home to one of the most comprehensive collections of astronomical instruments in regional Australia including the first disability access telescope.

Along with the collection of telescopes the observatory also includes a ‘pipehenge’, AstroTours, cafe and a gift shop.

The observatory is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Bookings are essential and admission fees apply.
