Located next door to Darling Harbour, the Powerhouse Museum has an extraordinary array of treasures across science, design, technology, space, transport and social history.

An ever-changing program of temporary exhibitions complements an inspiring selection of permanent displays drawing on the Museum’s rich and diverse collection.

These exhibitions are based on historic and contemporary ideas and technologies that have changed our world, and the stories of the people who create and inspire them.

A stimulating series of public programs that promote learning and creativity are staged for the school holidays, preschoolers and key annual events throughout the year. Highlight tours and demonstrations, talks and workshops, film screenings and live performances are regularly held across the Museum.

Creative digital media studios Thinkspace, the Lace Study Centre, and immersive children’s play spaces including an outdoor playground, can also be found at the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney.

The Museum is open from 10.00 am – 5.00 pm everyday (except 25 December). Admission fees apply.
