The Central Highlands Science Centre is a community organisation with an aim to inspire the minds of future generations.
The science centre runs a number of informal science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) education programs for children in the Central Highlands.
Visitors can find out about the human body, play with dinosaurs and experience the force of air and electricity. Little scientists will enjoy science as they play, discover and learn in an environment specifically designed for 3-12 year olds.
The Centre is only open in Queensland school holidays (closed 25 December). It is located at the Spencer Smith Pavillion in the Emerald Showground.
Admission fees apply.
