Inquiry-based teaching and learning programs linked the Australian curriculum for Science and History are available on the Museum website for school students in Years R-12.

The Museum’s Australian Aboriginal Cultures Gallery includes comprehensive displays about the technologies used by Aboriginal people around Australia as well as regional focus displays and surveys of Aboriginal art and ceremonies.

The Biodiversity Gallery shows South Australian animals in their habitats. It also gives insights into biological processes.

The South Australian Museum is located on North Terrace in Adelaide’s cultural precinct in close proximity to the Art Gallery of South Australia, the Migration Museum and State Library of South Australia.

The Museum is open daily 7 days a week, between 10.00 am & 5.00 pm (closed Christmas Day and Good Friday) and entry is free. For school bookings and inquiries phone 08 8207 7429 or visit the website.
