From drama to documentaries, animations or epic natural history, at Australia’s Science Channel we’re passionate about the power of the moving image to tell stories about the world, how it works, and our place in it.

In 2016 there were SCINEMA screenings all over Australia from every State and Territory – we even had a screening at Davis Antarctic Base station! You can join in for 2017. Community screenings will be held during National Science Week in August. Register now to host your own SCINEMA screening. Whether it’s in a pub, school, library, bowling alley or even your own lounge room, all you need is a screen, computer, internet access and an audience (popcorn optional).

Your community screening could be a public event, or private event with friends and family or school groups. Register your venue and help make SCINEMA the number one science film festival in Australia.

This project received grant funding from the Australian Government as part of the Inspiring Australia – Science Engagement Programme.
