Urrbrae High School is hosting a series of interactive science workshops, inviting primary school groups to attend and experience all the aspects of Urrbrae including the wetland, farm and science labs.
Each day there will be concurrent sessions running across the site which classes can book into:
Urrbrae Wetland – hosting a series of workshops focused on the natural environment and sustainability including fish, turtles, reptiles, invertebrates, plants, human impacts and dreamtime stories.
Urrbrae Farm – Urrbrae Trails offers a unique opportunity for students to visit and explore a working farm in Metropolitan Adelaide. The tour is led by Year 10 students and offers visitors the opportunity to engage in authentic, hands on activities concerning farming and food production.
Urrbrae Science Labs – Students can experience high school science at its best and participate in a range of practical investigations in our high school laboratories.
Science Show Extravaganza – Our science coordinator is putting on a dazzling show demonstrating a variety of scientific principles using the motto “bigger is always better” when it comes to engaging students. There will be flashes and bangs, and death defying stunts; all in the name of science and entertainment. Will you be in the splash zone?
