Science in the City celebrates National Science Week. Held close to the Australian Museum, there are around 400 interactive workshops, talks and shows tailored to students in every level. The event creates an opportunity for students and teachers to talk to scientists and educators from leading institutions to discover the relevance and role of science within their local community, and find out how they could get involved with it all.

The dates for Science in the City are 6-15 August.

During the Festival we showcase a range of scientific fields and their various applications in everyday life to students in order to help them realise the breadth of science and potential future careers. Students and teachers are invited to join in the biggest celebration of science for schools, presented by the Australian Museum in collaboration with over 50 other leading organisations. With interactive workshops, shows, and a speciality Expo demonstrating the latest in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM), it’s hard not to get inspired!
