Tolland Community Science Day is modelled on Macquarie University’s Indigenous Science Experience @ Redfern.

Drawing on the value of traditional and contemporary Indigenous knowledge in science and technology and the relevance of science to our everyday lives, participants will experience a range of hands-on science activities demonstrated by Indigenous secondary students, along with Indigenous Elders and science outreach providers.

The event will offer a day of fun science activities lead by the next generation of Indigenous scientist.

The National Indigenous Science Education Program (NISEP) uses science to place Indigenous youth in leadership positions so they gain the confidence, motivation and skills to stay in school and access pathways to higher education.
