James Cook University, Tanks Art Centre and PechaKucha Cairns are hosting National Science Week PechaKucha at The Tanks Arts Centre on 14 August (7:30pm start). Come and hear exciting science stories, and talk to scientists tackling big problems. $5 cover-charge, with gold coin donation.

Come and talk to scientists tackling big problems. PechaKucha has an established following due to its high energy, rapid presentation format, covering a range of topics, with a new image presented every 20 seconds.
This event features a unique collaboration between scientists and the community, integrating personal stories and science. The audience can engage with the researchers, exploring a range of exciting science stories from a variety of different disciplines.
