Life on the Levee

Wagga Wagga levee banks are home to an abundance of flora and fauna. Join Wagga Wagga City Council’s Environmental Officers as they lead participants on walk commencing from Lonergan Place Playground. Learn about the River Regeneration Project and our natural environment.

Celebrate the beginning of National Science Week. Join Environmental Officers from Wagga Wagga City Council’s Environment and City Compliance Team as they lead a low impact walk traversing Wagga Wagga’s levee banks.  Discover the abundance of flora and fauna that live and thrive in the heart of our city at the edge of the Murrumbidgee River.

Commencing from Lonergan Place the walk will take in a 1.5km stretch of the levee bank and include opportunities to learn about our local flora & fauna, the River Regeneration Project and our natural environment. The walk will conclude at the Visitor Information Centre, Tarcutta Street.

If the event is cancelled due to inclement weather, a notification will be sent to the email supplied when booking your ticket.
