Katherine Mission Moon Science Week EveNT

The Mission Moon EveNT is an expo for students, aged 6-9, in the Katherine region, to share the Moon base the Show Me poster they have completed during First Lego League Junior. Students will share their work with each other and a wider audience, including other schools and the community.

The Mission Moon Science Week EveNT is an expo for primary school students from Katherine. This is where students can showcase the work they have completed during the First Lego League Junior Mission Moon challenge.

Students aged 6-9 from a range of Katherine primary schools have been participating in this challenge, where they have learnt about the Moon and explored the kinds of problems that they would need to solve in order to live there.  They have developed skills in coding, robotics and the design process Teams have designed and built a Moon Base out of Lego and Lego robotics and have created a ‘Show Me’ poster to share what they have learnt.

During the expo, students will be able to share their work with each other and a wider audience, including other schools and the community. Volunteer Reviewers at the event will interview the teams to learn about their model and poster. All teams are celebrated and leave with an award.
