Firebirds Queensland will celebrate National Science Week at their netball game against the Adelaide Thunderbirds.

Three of the Firebirds players are ambassadors for National Science Week in Queensland in the lead up to the game and during the Week.

Each of the ambassadors is passionate about inspiring girls to study STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects at school and university so they are ready to take on the jobs of the future.

As well as being outstanding athletes, each ambassador is studying a STEM-based course or working in a STEM field:

  • Laura Clemesha – Masters of Psychology student
  • Jemma Mi Mi – Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology student
  • Mahalia Cassidy – Occupational Therapist.

Come along to the game and visit the National Science Week stand. Bring along an interesting science fact and you will be rewarded with a free gift.
