During National Science Week, Sea Lake Neighbourhood House will have an unforgettable, high impact VR incursion day for local students, teachers, and interested community members.
The ClassVR is a fun, hands-on and interactive platform that will provide Sea Lake residents with the opportunity to experience cutting-edge technology. Throughout the day, the instructors will demonstrate various ways of utilising this technology in the classroom to raise student engagement and increase student knowledge retention; or recreationally in either non-immersive, semi-immersive and fully immersive situations. There is no limit to what they can learn or where they can go.
The facilitators will guide the whole VR experience to inspire and leave a lasting impression.
Sea Lake Neighbourhood House will work closely with the local schools to deliver sessions appropriate to their students and preferably aligned with their curriculum. Ultimately to demonstrate the potential of how VR can be incorporated into classrooms to transform traditional learning into an interactive and out of this world immersive environment. Why just look at pictures when, for example, they can walk on the surface of the moon and interact with what they see?
