Lots of displays, talks and hands-on activities for a special National Science Week day at Tuggeranong Homestead.

Entry is free but some activities have a charge.

The activities include:

  • Make your own Bento Box to take home - cost $25
  • Hear about our busy bees at Tuggeranong Homestead and make two beeswax food-wraps - cost $40
  • Bygone Tuggeranong Industries Wool and Wheat - Free
  • Backyard chickens, how to keep healthy happy hens for eggs - Free
  • Fruit & Vegies & Biosecurity - Free
  • Enhance Food Security, Reduce Chemical Insecticides’ - Free

  • Make & eat damper over the fire pit - Free
  • Star Gazing Dinner - $150

Homestead kitchen will be serving heritage food – the old favourites from the 1900s for attendees to purchase.

To complete the day there will be a special dinner "Star Gazing Five Course Dinner with matching wines with guest speakers (astromoners, master sommelier and chef via Zoom). Limited to 36 guests. Bookings via email.
