The Great Escape is an escape room designed around each of the four science topics taught in our senior secondary school (Year 11-12) and run for 1 week, with 1 hour time slots to escape our STEaM room.
In keeping with the theme of innovation, student participants need to solve the puzzles within 40 minutes in order to help rescue the stranded science teachers from Mars where their new solid state electric propulsion vessel has crash landed.
Our goal is to provide an engaging and interactive experience that not only entertains but also educates participants on the importance of innovation in driving future industries.
Participants will work together to solve puzzles and uncover clues related to cutting-edge technologies using different scientific disciplines, like chemistry, physics, biology, and human biology.
In addition to providing a fun and immersive experience for the whole school, the escape room will also incorporate educational elements that will highlight the real-world applications of these technologies and the potential they have to transform industries. Each team will require at least one student that does not currently take science to engage a wider community and therefore encourage new ideas in science.
